Fans of MTV’s Jersey Shore know that Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi knows a bit about taking a punch already, so it won’t come as much of a shock that she’s decided to enter the world
of boxing. Team Snooki Boxing will feature three Irish (we’re surprised they are not Italian!) brothers, Patrick “Pajo”, Eddie, and Paul Hyland – all champions in their respective classes.
Snooki intends to have her team ready to go within the month, as they are headlining a night of boxing matches at the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City on Saturday, January 28. Thinking back to the punch Snooki took from a school teacher in a bar in 2009, it seems that Snooki at least knows what Team Snooki Boxing might endure in the ring. Based on how quickly Snooki hit the floor after that infamous punch, The Hyland Brothers better hope that Snooki leaves the rest of the training to their trainers.
Final Round Promotions, a NY-based sporting events promotions business, is behind the event featuring Team Snooki Boxing. “We are incredibly excited to introduce The Hyland Brothers and Team Snooki Boxing. We’ve seen what these boys can do, and expect nothing less than continued success and ‘living up to the hype’ for each of them here in the States,” Vice President of Final Round Promotions Mike Pascale said.
Snooki’s 2012 seems to be shaping up nicely. Not only does Team Snooki Boxing premiere at the end of January, the fifth (and rumored to be the final) season of Jersey Shore premieres January 5th at 10PM on MTV.
